"Learn To Sail With Confidence"

Read what others have said...

Dear Will,

Just wanted to let you know what a great time Carol and I had taking the Bareboat Chartering course. And, I also want to tell you how impressed we are with you. You know sailing as well as anyone we've met and you have the patience of a saint! Thank you for making sure we kept at it until we got it right. Both of us can't believe how much we learned and for the first time, it all started to come together. I really think we're ready to charter (but we'd still feel a lot more comfortable with you on board)!

Thanks again,

Gale and Carol Sanders

Hello Capt Will,

We arrived in Raleigh on Saturday afternoon with lots of good memories and funny conversations. I would like to thank you for the instructional and amusing week we had on the gorgeous Bavaria 44. I had an sensational time!!  I am now ASA certified which means that my ocean's adventures are just beginning. You are, on the other side, are well experienced in these regards. Will, you are definitely born under a lucky star! You have achieved good targets with your determinations and ambitions, and your lifestyle is to be jealous for. As soon as I have arrived home I felt trapped within the walls instead of free of them.. missing being out there surrounded by the waves and breezes of Charleston's harbor. Thanks for a wonderful experience and for memories that cannot depart my mind. All the best to you and your business and hopefully I will see you again someday ... the cat is on my next list!

Many, many thanks,
Ciao 4 now! Grazie and baci!

Capt. Will,

A couple weeks ago I sailed passed your berth for a J/24 race and saw you teaching another sailing class. I knew the person in the cockpit with you would be receiving the highest quality training.

I want to let you know that I was very pleased that I was able to attend the Charleston Sailing School for my Coastal Navigation class. Your sailing knowledge, skill and ability, I believe, are a direct result of your years of experience, and the professionalism and training received from ASA. Your relaxed instructional style was another reason I recommended your facility to my boss for taking her sailing lessons. You're a fine instructor and sailor, and I had a very enjoyable time sailing with you.

Thanks again for a great training experience.

Charleston Sailing School:

I just returned from completing my ASA certification course for bareboat chartering. Can't say enough about Capt. Will Miller. A very patient, personable and knowledgeable young man. Had two great days of sailing in and out of Charleston Harbor, with 15-20 knot winds and clear skies and eighty degree whether. He has been leasing a Hunter 30 for giving lessons, but will soon have his Bavaria 44 in the water for class. And for anyone who hasn't been there, as I hadn't, Charleston is a great little city.

Dear Mark, Monty and Will,

Thank you for an incredible sailing experience last week. It was more than we expected and all we could have hoped for.
We felt a little guarded when you sent us out with Will the first day. He's half our age; how much experience could he have? He proved himself in the first ten minutes to be an expert sailor as well as a skilled instructor, not to mention a damn good kid. Will doesn't just spoon-feed the information, he makes you think about it and absorb it. Monty made it fun,the man-overboard drills were a riot. But you learned... And learned. Thanks for the unplanned side trip to Vizcaya on Sunday. It's awesome from the water side (pictures attached). We are looking forward to a close up and personal view of Stiltsville next time.
Your fleet is perfect. Thanks for having us aboard the catamaran on Saturday after we docked, to watch the playoff game. Can't wait to see the new boat when we come back. We are so looking forward to seeing you in a couple of months for the next course - this is the most fun we've had since the hogs ate Little Brother.  It's no wonder when our vacationing friends dropped by the boat for a visit, they immediately begged to book with you!

Best regards,
Paul and Kate Thompson

Hi Will,

Kathy and I really enjoyed our ASA 104 sailing class with you in Charleston. It was great to experience current, tides, and dark of night. We especially appreciated practicing docking procedures under various conditions. We had a fun time while learning everything you taught us and we are better sailors as a result. Your Southern hospitality made us feel welcome and comfortable! We really enjoyed your company and wish you continued success.

Mark,
My family and I had a wonderful time at Charleston Sailing School. We learned, we gained confidence, and had a lot of fun in the process. Chuck was a great teacher. His patience and good humor were perfect compliments to the hard work and seriousness of the experience. We really appreciated your willingness to accommodate all four of us at one time. I then had two great days with Chuck and Montie together on the Island Packet, and the extra attention I got enabled me to pass the Coastal Navigation course as well as Coastal Cruising and Bareboat Chartering. The helm experience was immensely helpful. We'll be back for more...
