The Bavaria 44 is an awesome display of German engineering. The 2004 Bavaria was added to Charleston Sailing School in the spring of 2008. The interior volume and comfort is unmatched on any comparable sized yacht.
There are 4 cabins, all with hanging lockers. A large saloon and galley seat up to 8 guests at a time. The galley includes a stove, oven, fridge, double sink, and grill. A full navigation station complements the interior nicely. There are two heads, both with hot water sinks and showers onboard. The mahogany interior represents some of the finest boat building in the world.
The yacht performs exceptionally well at sea, and is easily managed by a small crew. A Selden in-mast furling and Furlex headstay make "raising sail" a thing of the past. There are four 2-speed Harken winches on deck. With duel helm stations and a large cockpit covered by a collapsible bimini and dodger, the Bavaria is made to go places in comfort and style.
